EVERY SATURDAY: Vesper Truth

Silas Oriokot This evening, I received a request from one of my leaders in The Rising Point for Christ—our Associate Discipleship Leader, Brother Justus Ainembabazi—asking me to lead the intercessory prayer for our Emmaus & Upper Room life group fellowship. Immediately, a song of thanksgiving flowed from my lips: “Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus.” What a privilege it is to serve the Lord in this way. I don’t know what assignment or moment of grace God gave you today, but as we prepare our hearts for the Lord’s Day, I am reminded of this simple, powerful truth: We always have a reason to give thanks. In everything, for all things—through Christ Jesus—we give thanks. This is the will of God for you (1 Thessalonians 5:18). So tonight, I invite you to declare with a grateful heart: Thank You, Jesus. May your heart be light with gratitude and your spirit rest in His peace. Wishing you a blessed and refreshing Sunday. May His name be exalted! In Christ’s serv...

EVERY SATURDAY: Vesper Truth

> By Silas Oriokot  > Peace to you, friend. I pray this truth finds you strong in the Lord and in good health. This evening, I’ve been reflecting on Paul’s opening words in his first letter to Timothy: “Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope, To Timothy, my true son in the faith: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.”  —1 Timothy 1:1-2 Beloved, we see many today claiming titles like “Apostle” in our churches—but we must be vigilant. Many are false.  Paul’s authority rested on two divine realities:  1.  The command of God our Savior  — who rescued us from wrath through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, securing eternal life for all who believe.  2.  The command of Christ Jesus our hope  — for apart from Him, we are hopeless. Without Christ, there is no saving knowledge of God.  This is the test of true ministry.  Does it point to Chris...

Praise Report & A Reminder of Our Freedom!

Praise the Lord, Rising Point for Christ Family!  We bless the holy name of the Lord for bringing us together on this first Wednesday of the new month (August) for prayer and fasting. Thank You, Jesus!  We give special thanks for:   🤓 Every member  who joined us in faith   👨‍❤️‍👨 Our faithful brethren  who led each segment: praise and worship, prayer and intercession, and testimonies   🥰 God’s servants  who brought forth His Word: Brother Joel Olupot, Brother Asan Rubaga, and myself  🫱🏻‍🫲🏻 Brother Innocent Nuwagaba Oriokot,  our long-lost brother in Christ, who returned to fellowship with us today!  God used every one of you mightily—to Him be all the glory! Remember Who You Are:  > “Our old self was crucified with Him... so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.”  (Romans 6:6)  You are God’s children—liberated from bondage! No longer slaves to sin, we now walk in righteousness ...

A Message of Love & Closing Instructions for Our Fast

Good Afternoon, Rising Point for Christ Family! I greet you in the precious name of Jesus. You are such an amazing family! Sometimes I wish I could be with each of you in person, or at least write to you individually by name. Though technology limits us, please know this deeply: “I love you all very much.” Today, we joined together in prayer and fasting for a vital yet often overlooked topic:  “FREED FROM BONDAGE: Living No Longer as Slaves to Sin”  (Romans 6:6–7; John 8:34–36).  Thank you for your faithfulness in Christ! Your willingness to deny worldly pleasures and seek God through this fast truly reflects your heart for Him.  To Close Our Fast at 5:00 PM:  1.  Prayerfully Conclude:  Spend time thanking God and blessing His name.  2.  Speak His Grace:  Declare words of His grace to formally end your fast.  3.  Refresh Yourselves:  Enjoy a light snack. Juice or bushera  would be perfect!  After Y...
